Messing with some 3d printing

This is a 3d printed trailer axle holder concept I've been working on. Definitely still tweaking on it, but think it turned out pretty well.

found it.
What software did you use and why did you pick and use what you did?

It looks like I can download their software, learn to use it and then buy a printer.
Am I correct that I can see if I can use the software before I buy?

thank you

paul

Yes that’s correct. The software they provide is a slicer which just turns a 3d object into instructions for the printer. I wouldn’t recommend the one provided by flashforge. I have been using Prusa. The actual designing I do in solidworks only because I get a student license from my school. For 3d printing Fusion 360 or any other free alternative would be totally fine. A pretty good one that is free and online is tinkercad.

If you aren't already using PETG or ASA I'd highly suggest it over PLA (if that's what you're currently printing with). Those hot days inside the trailer will make PLA soft and warp. Wouldn't want an axel to fall and ding things up. Otherwise love the idea!!
