Mikuni 34mm standard gas drill spec

The gentleman who could best answer that question is no longer with us. May he rest in peace (EC).

He completed an alky carb for my clone about 1 week before he died.

It's been quite a while since I blueprinted a Mikuni for gas, not much call for that anymore, but this is the way EC wanted it done circa 96, high side pickoff hole stock at .152, low side pickoff hole offset towards needle and machined to .156 with 5/32 ball end mill, high and low side needle holes are good stock at .089 high , .072 low . Low side drill pattern starting farthest away from the engine, .055 , .046 , .029 with a slight chamfer on the holes from inside the well. Blunt low side needle .025, which will lean needle settings slightly. .065 fulcrum arm height with a double bend to keep arm flat where it hits the diaphragm, cut off excess length and polish, 9 to 10 pop-off hold on 7 or better. Make micro button heads for throttle shaft and drill a .052 hole thru them to for a slight air bleed. Jon

Jason, check the low side needle hole, see if it's still at .072 also the idle circuit at .029 should be a good clue. Any alky conversion done correctly should have increased both. Jon
