My gas tank is rusted out so cant use the original carb. Want to use a mikuni knockoff carb and started to make an adapter. I drilled a 7/8 hole to match intake port and drilled the 1 3/8" mounting bolt pattern. If I find some thin pipe that fits into my 7/8" hole I am restricted to 3/4" bore. Even at that there is barely clearance for the mounting bolt to block, maybe a bit more if I use trimmed down Allen head screws. I am wanting to angle the carb out to the right to keep it away from exhaust some. Should I go with a 20mm or 22mm carb? Stock cam , dual exhaust valve springs and disconnected governor. I'm surprised that this isn't a commonly available item for sale.
