My LO206 valve guides are in unequal positions does any know if they should be flush?

They are supposed to be unequal. The exhaust side is up out of the hot flow of the exhaust port and the intake is down.

The Briggs rule #19-h will explain were the intake guide must be placed in the port & it is checked in TECK

Valve Guides: Replacement of valve guides with B&S part #555645
only is allowed. Maximum depth from the head gasket surface to the
intake valve guide is 1.255”.

EX guide can be flush.
