I have a my09 that I am having issues getting it to start. I bought the motor used off a fresh rebuild. I motor will start and run with a shot of starter fluid but no luck off the straight tank. I’m thinking it has something to do with the carb but not sure.

Not pulling fuel...?

-fuel on?
-fuel lines tight and zip tied
-pumper/ fulcrum May not be set correct.
-no air leaks-all screws tight on carb.
-make sure needle/seat are not stuck
-cap is not over tightened(can crack at screw)

Generally the switch goes to ground .
To stop the engine .
Broken or disconected wire or bad switch .
Some one who knows more might be able too pinpoint it .

According to this you stop it by pushing the red button .

Mine has a 3 position key.
Your key switch is probably bad. I have spare harnesses in our trailer, when we have a problem it makes it easy to diagnose when I swap parts with ones I know work properly. If you have someone with an 09 leopard you can swap parts with, it should be easy to .narrow down . I would look at the back of the key switch and at the plug and see if their are any obvious broken wires. If so you can easily solder them back together . Hopefully its something simple. Good luck.
