MyChron 5 GPS flaking out

We race sprint and have a MyChron 5 w/ GPS. It started flaking out at our last practice - a 15 lap set was broken up into a bunch of 2 and 3 lap sets. We swapped out a gear and then individual laps were being chopped up into 4 or 5 "lap-lets". Not really sure what is going on - our battery was good. Not sure if anyone else has seen this and if there if there are any workarounds.
 
Can't help with the 5, yet my Mychron 3 would do that when it was full of data and needed to have it's memory cleared.
 
So it was just a loose screw on the battery. I didn't put the battery on myself and did not double check the tightness. It must have worked loose during practice. Still a good practice though :)
