Yea, It's the gear rule. The spec gear is usually very low (high number) to keep the MPH down. What happens is a red plate that should be turning barely over 5000 RPM ends up at about 6500 or more at most tracks. Here is a video from Daytona 2019. I built the motor on the winning red kart. Yea, it's crazy. We have a customer that won red plate at Charlotte and turned it just shy of 6700.A red plate here in the southeast that wont turn 6500 on the race track will get lapped really quick
