I’m racing a quarter mile asphalt track in a predator series. I’m curious on what extra parts, pieces, tools etc you all make sure to have with you every time you go to the track? I’m hoping to run my first race soon and
I dont know a darn thing about asphalt racing, but I always have my impact with a spare battery, 2 of every wrench I need, my generator and air compressor, and lots of water.I’m racing a quarter mile asphalt track in a predator series. Fifteen years ago, I left the tool box at home. (100+ miles)Helmet , neck brace , gloves any other safety equipment required . Fuel , oil an extra spark plugs .
Tools and spares as are avalible or enough room for .
Luckily it's pull start , I left the start box home once .
You hit the wall harder on asphalt, as your carrying more speed through the corners.I dont know a darn thing about asphalt racing, but I always have my impact with a spare battery, 2 of every wrench I need, my generator and air compressor, and lots of water.
Ive never raced on a track with a wall, so I'm not sure how that feels. My local track is one of those that you can jump 10 feet in the air if you go off the top. Personally I like it more than the wall. You hit the wall harder on asphalt, as your carrying more speed through the corners.
This is great insight. This is the kind of information I’m looking for. Thanksextra bolts. try to have some extra side cover bolts for the predator i've had issues with them backing out so i don't leave for the track without some extras.
Perfect solution . We bent one , no spare coke syrup . . Hydraulic jack between the nerf spud and axle . Wah la won that eventwe take a 10 lb. brass dead blow hammer, short 4 x 4, 4 x 6 wood blocks. a grease pencil, when ya just don't have alot of time to change an axle between classes.
