Need some help. I recently purchased 4 NOS Crane camshafts for the Briggs 5HP/Raptor flathead engine. The camshafts are 91007, 91010, 91012 and 91016.
In reviewing the spec sheets I noticed that lift and duration was nearly identical on all the cams. What differentiated the cams however was the valve timing.
I'm wondering if there are any "old school" racers/builders out there that might remember the difference in these camshafts. I'd like to at least know what the characteristics of each of them are, (mild VS more radical), perhaps power curves.
I contacted Crane Cams Tech Support, but they were of little help since the cams have been discontinued for many years.
