switching chassis is going to be best.
If that wont work you will likely need a sawzall, grinder and welder with attending hand tools.
along with L blocks, attachment plates, hiems and spindles
 
The biggest issue with the change over is that it's almost a necessity to fabricate a whole new front hoop. The problem is that when you cut off the existing king pin holders, the L-block setup will be a lot wider. If you try to shorten the width of the existing front hoop, the mounting points will now be a lot further forward making the wheelbase a lot longer.
