Nerf bar bind

I put my nerf bars in and didn’t even tighten the bolts. I just put a locknut on it and tightened it a tad bit and that’s all. I need to loosen up my front bumper cuz it is tight

Sorry to hijack thread but my bumper is extremely tight on my chassis. After I got it powder coated it was extremely tough to get front bumper on. What can I do to fix that. It may help my chassis

Nerfs and bumpers should flop and not bind at all.
As mentioned, they are easily "persuaded" ie bent to fit loosely.

It also doesn't hurt to pull the body and bumpers occasionally to check them (clean, etc.) Be careful of using grease in the spuds, as grease collects dust/dirt. Just keep everything clean and free and they won't become a problem.

Grease in the nerfs, no.
Grease front bumper, yes it helps keep keep the dirt out

Anything tight will affect the handling and setup. Same thing for any bolt including floor panels. Not uncommon on sprint karts to leave many bolts loose.
