The new PA clone is 7 hp and 208.
Has anyone had a chance to look inside and see if this is simply a 70mm bore standard clone ?

Externally it looks like a normal clone, but I have been fool before.

Have not had a chance to look inside one yet... Almost got one when they went on sale a few months ago!
Same as the 7hp 210cc Champion...
From the outside anyway the look the same...the head looks like it may have a little bit bigger cooling fins though!

It is basically the old style 208cc predator engine. Same 70mm bore i believe, but shorter stroke. The blower housing is probably black, correct?

Black...correct...but it is a Ducor?

I think they did sell a 208 Ducor type snow blower engine a while back.
The ears for the tank on this engine are not square like a gen 1 or 2 Predator.
If is is the ducor then that means it has all those bastard parts in it and you need a different rod and cam and flywheel.
I sure hope that is not the case.

I think you are confused by the 210 cc on the powerfist presure washer.
That's a PA screw up those are Gen 1 Loncin 212 engines, I had a chance to look inside.

The 210cc I meant as the Champion motors TSC sells they have a 6.5hp, 196cc, and a 7hp 210cc.

The PA motors are all over the place far as parts go... Jt 109 heads to Noname heads, and same as carbs...

I bought one of the new PA 208 clones with the powerfist badge.
I didn't have much time to dig but this one uses a standard cam.
The gear is plastic however.

Machining and casting looks ok.

The carbs I got from the PA 7hp engines are the huayi brand, metal choke butterfly, and a spigot on the side for the air cleaner, and no sediment bowl... Measure right around .613-.614... Adjustable idle mixture, and idle speed.

These I find you can bore out to .690-.710 no problem before you half to start offsetting the hole to get it bigger than .690.

That sounds like a great carb to work with.

Yeah...first one we worked on really...then we worked on a Honda and a couple ruxxings and could bring them out to about .640 before we had to start offsetting the hole to go bigger or we would break right through!

Thanx for the carb. Tips BTW!!! :)

Do you have a pic of these carbs? Interested in seeing the spigot on the side for the air cleaner, im not sure what your talking about there...interesting though

I have not measured up the carb yet.

But its a 70mm flat top piston with the thick gasket and the piston in deep in the hole.
Valves are 27 and 25....

Standard flywheel taper too.

Just need to see how far it is in the hole with the +0.020 ARC rod

Oh ya and clearence hope its not too tight being a new crank and all...

I just found something weird.

0.7085 wrist pin that does not fit my Honda ARC rod.
The rod however is perfect for the crank.
Win;something I haven't yet checked out; Look @ the arc rods and brngs for clones and preds pay CLOSE Attn. to rod lengths and bearings,,,,,,,,,,Makes me wonder whats REALLY possible If ROD ID's R the same?????? just wonderin' possibilities maybe endless...Dave

I have no reference point to work from.
I thought Predators used the same pin.

If I had a stock clone rod I would compare the two using Tom Coles's trick with the vernier but I just checked around and I am out of rods...
