New Dyno Cams

What do you think of the new Dyno cams 00-3, 4,5,6. They look like road race cams for top end to me.

New? ;)

What application are you looking for? Road course top end? I think there are much newer cams (04-3 & 07-3) available that are much better, but these cams are still pretty decent depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

Ha, I guess it was new to me. Running unrestricted @375 with 04-3 on short asphalt sprint but it seems to have weak spots in the rpm range. I've heard others say it's weird cam. Thinking of trying the 96-3 or the 7X ez.

of the two use the 96-3 . hard to mess it up

the 04-3 seesm to like either very low timing or pretty high 26-27 or 31. Also look at your carb if you are having flat spots

Jimmy, is spot on.

With the 04-3 you better have a great (not just good) flowing carb, put a TON of timing to it, and twist the snot out of it. That'd be my choice for road courses needing a wider powerband and more rpm. 96-3 is still a great choice for ovals, and would be a much easier cam for you to plug and play.
