New hemi! abused hemi!

Well … it looks like you can maintain momentum pretty good there. I’d be on that 13 and work gearing from there.
 
One thing that happens at a lot of tracks get faster as the evening goes along. The gearing that was good in practice and qualifying could be too low for a faster track later on. I ran a box stock race last year and was pretty happy with performance early and then in the main was over revving 2/3 of the way down the straights in the main, making me wish i had dropped 3 or 4 teeth off the axle before the main.
