I wouldn't and don't think any tires guys would recommend sanding with 80 grit, the best tire guy's here start with 150 grit and finish with 240 grit, keep them moist while sanding windex is fine.
My apologies, I meant 180 grit! LOL 80 grit would be rough as heck!
What is the advantage of scuffing over sanding? Is it always preferable to scuff over sanding? If you can scuff them at the track I wouldn't sand them. I would mount them, roll them, scuff them and race them.
yes because it'll restructure the rubber once it gets a true heat cycle from being ran on a track versus simply "knocking the glaze off"What is the advantage of scuffing over sanding? Is it always preferable to scuff over sanding?
