No lash

Anyone ever had one of the new style champion rocker arms lose lash? Picked up a new generator at alocal TSC ,It was a return and it would not run.Original buyer stated that it ran fine for the first time, then could never get it to start again. After looking it over,decided to take a chance.Talked to the manager and got it for a hundred bucks.No compression so I pulled valve cover to check rockers,push rods,and the thing had no lash on the exhaust valve at all. Intake was about factory setting-.006' Set exhaust to .004 and started on the first pull.Has anyone had any problems with these rockers?
 
LOL we just bought 2 champions just motors from TSC... $99.00 on sale.
One of them the lash was set at .003 IN, .005 EX, the other was .008 on both...
