We race in a kids class with a stock 3.5 hp briggs. The torque chart shows that peak torque is at 2450 rpm for this motor. Should i set my clutch engagement for 2450rpm. We run 11T on clutch ans 67T on axle. I always use the smooth engagement setting.
Yes set the engagement at the rpm where your engine makes peak torque, some people like to engage the clutch slightly before peak torque also, I would set it at 2500 and have fun
