Oil in pulse tube from valve cover

after last Friday night we noticed the hose that runs from the valves cover to the fuel pump had oil in it. The low spot where the hose sagged was holding about a tablespoon of engine oil.
The only thing we changed was the rear gear to get her RPMs up. we went from the neighborhood of 5600 to 6400 RPMs. I change oil every other night of racing so it was not overfilled.
Is this common in clones or is her engine about to go?
The kart was running fast, keeping her in the top 3 until she got hit hard and broke the front mounts off her seat. She ran the last 11 laps holding herself up trying to keep the seat from dragging the ground or rubbing the tire.

It is not uncommon, a small amount of oil it usually does not hurt performance, try to shorten and reroute hose to eliminate droops to capture oil.

Well the engine was built fur restricted. By the time we found out she was going to be here this summer to race we didn’t have time to send it off the have if set up for open, so we pulled the restrictor and are running it open.
