oil ring width

Ive got a bsp 212 that has a narrower than 2.5 oil ring. I ordered rings for it back in September from BSP and they told me they were on back order. Ive yet to get them so i tried a 1mm/1mm/2.5 from Dover but oil ring was too wide. Anyone have a source for these? Think i could get one from a smaller or larger bore if i could find the correct width?

Might be easier to just get a piston .
Are they three peice ?
If so use the old expander .
Reduce the ring width or make the groove wider .

yes its 3 piece. I ordered a new piston from BSP same time as the rings. I was experimenting with the old oil ring and and kind of screwed it up. I ordered a new piston and ring from dover thats on the way. Still like to find another source for these though.

Thats where the old paper catalogs came in handy .
Cross reference through piston ring mfg pdf is time consuming .
Might take even longer now with the outbreak .
