Are these getting run full rubber or are they cutting these now?
I'm sure somebody is cutting them. I got a set last week that I'm looking forward to trying out.Are these getting run full rubber or are they cutting these now?
FWIW I had a friend that ran them for some indoor back in January and he said he had to prep them more aggressively than he does his maxxis, but he also thought the track needed a lot of bite. He finished second on them in both stock predator heavy and AKRA clone heavy.any insight on prep they like? same as maxxis prep?
Am going to try these on a big 4/10 mile asphalt track in va in 2 weeks. Think they’ll hold up for 20 laps on a 425# clone champ?56-58 fresh mounted
Are you trading the vegas in for cobras?6 sets, 3 different durometers all were at 60 before I started working them
What was the result?I’m picking up a set of these next week plan to run them at a track in about 3 weeks, open tire rule so I hope everyone else will be running maxxis so I can compare.
No, but its looking like a Cobra series will be here next year and I want to test as much as I can now. We went to a track that allows Cobras and Burris last week. Cobras were fast early, Burris smoked em later. We had no Burris lol.Are you trading the vegas in for cobras?
Similar to this, I have had pretty good success running cobras in our heats, and maxxis come feature time. Something with the cobras just seems to keep em too soft for my liking. No, but its looking like a Cobra series will be here next year and I want to test as much as I can now. 2 weeks ago I softened up a set of Cobras to match our soft Vegas and the kid said they didn’t have enough grip after the heat, so we switched back to Vegas.
Would the stiff sidewalls help a 450 lb class with the LO206?Extremely stiff sidewall.
Check out cobra on FB they have a whole list of things to do with them.any insight on prep they like? same as maxxis prep?
The problem with that and also with every other tire out, it’s based on where your at and the season. Vegas say they dont need prep either.Check out cobra on FB they have a whole list of things to do with them.
It's a direction no other manufacturer is doing that. Definitely not maxxisThe problem with that and also with every other tire out, it’s based on where your at and the season. Vegas say they dont need prep either.
Burris was a fun easy tire in the mid 2000sThe only tire I've every found not to need any prep to be fastest possible, is a Burris 33 at the right time to match track conditions.
