I may know the answer to part of this but here goes anyway .
This twin carb reed cage is custom made . I have this single manifold .
It wouldn't produce max power . It should still produce 80% .
Its the third year I've had this engine and never fired it up .
I have the single carb no twin carbs .
Anyone have any idea who would have made the reed cage ?
It looks like the cases are modified some to suit that cage .

i would just buy the right reed cage
Does it look like the cases have been modified besides the pulse channels for the twin carbs ?
I have no history on this engine i'm flying blind .
Maybe best to just order 2 - 360's and start out on gasoline .

So i took the reeds out of my 100cc green head they are the small set .
It appears the other one is a large reed with no additional milling or mods .
I should be safe , finding a large cage and manifold assembly .
Question is now , is it cheaper then 2 carbs ?

If you're going to run one carb you're going to have to get rid of that bar blocking the flow. You could mill 1/4" off the top of the reed cage and shorten the studs. If you ever want to run 2 carbs you can have another top plate made.

Thats a good idea .
I didn't want too modify the reed cage till last resort .
I had thought about narrowing and shaping the center Bar .
Also adding a shaped spacer for more volume and flow .

I bet the engine used a small reed cage originally and was modified to accept the Large cage used in the new style engines.
The carb manifold looks a lot like one I have that came from Arizona. You might check with
Al Aismen or Mike Cochran as they were doing these type modifications.

Yes its nice work . The dyno sheet says strhal gallup or tmw .

Mr. Al said to call . He may be my go too guy .
With no box full of spare parts or anyone close by , buying stuff that wont fit is no good .
I have a couple tillys i can mount up , thats my route at the moment .
