Outlaw conversion question

Hello all-
I was hoping for a little advice on a potential winged kart conversion. I was thinking of converting an old CRT frame to a winged outlaw to run in 500 class at thunder hill/rice lake/maybe Iowa. I’m 6’2 250. It’s a bit of a drive for me so it wouldn’t be a weekly race for me, just want to get out and run a few during the season between weekly flat kart racing. Is an older, non adjustable front end doable? I don’t need to be ultra competitive, I just want to get my feet wet.

Thanks for any help or advixe

Not heard of a CRT...

QRC front ends aren't all that adjustable. I'm not from that area and the outlaw karts are just catching on here. How many do they have and do they all look new/big budget? If they are the likely hood of competing drops. If everyone is just a "poboy" going to have fun and kick some dirt you would be fine. How much did you budget for a top cage?

Thanks for the reply. It’s an older dirt chassis, I’ve attached some pictures. In terms of budget, I’m not crazy worried about money. I don’t want to go overboard but know it will take some money. Is there a conversion kit anyone recommends?

Also, I always assumed adults only raced 500 class. Does anyone see adults in the 250s?

Measure the rear frame rail center to center and i will tell you if the toigo will fit. I ordered one for a minecon. Blackhawk does custom conversions look him up on facebook he does nice work.

Would it be possible to modify a rookie cage? I know the mounting will need to be modded but will the dimensions be a decent starting point?

Thats what i did for my first kids kart. Built my own ghetto receivers for front and back. Just know doing all this you are on your own you have no baseline.

Is that some type of crank upstand with a younger jack ?
Looks pretty nifty .
Rookie cage should work all but the height . Rules should have most dimensions .
Looks relatively simple if you have a bender .

Anything ever become of this? Thinking seriously of the Tiogo kit for my 2021Trick Olimpic. Or other options of they are out there. Will look up BlackHawk and Fast Factory.
This will be for “Caged Clones” here in the NorCal area. Spec Tillotson motors.
