Outlaw motor question

Hello again-

Thanks to you all for the help on my previous post, and I have a follow up question. I've been thinking of ways to go about acquiring a motor. I'm not crazy worried about showing up with the most HP, I just want to get out and get some races in. Would the most budget friendly way to go about a motor be to buy a bike and part it out after I take out the motor or is there a more efficient way?

Thanks again

That way you know it runs .
I can't sell a Ten dollar bill for 5 dollars so parting it out , could be iffyy .

The good thing is you have all the components to make it run as designed. you can see the factory hookups for intake amd exhaust. Also wiring for ignition and other controls.

Your kid is only going to race in the open class for a couple years. Buy a stock bike, take the motor off, carefully catalog everything, remember how it all goes back together. When your done put all the stock stuff back on the bike and sell it.
