Parts washer thermal link

I’m trying to find a thermal link for my parts washer. All I’ve found so far is globaltechnologies.com. They have what I need, a $9 item, but they have a $75 minimum order. Does anyone know of another supplier?

Need more info .
is it a heated unit ? how how hot does it get ?
it looks like a limit switch for a gas or electric dryer .

It holds the lid up on my parts washer. If the solvent were to catch fire in the basin the link would break and allow the lid to fall/shut and snuff out the fire. Over time they just fail from stress of holding the lid open. Mine let go about ten years ago and I’ve been sticking a pencil in the loop to hold it open. I really need to fix it right, just in case.

Simple fix.

Instead of the lead/zinc loop, use a plastic zip tie.

If it catches fire, the zip tie will fail with less heat than the original.

Zip tie sounds good .
Another option would be crimp the cable in a new lead , like a sinker .
If the cables broke a aluminum cable crimp .
Zip tie seems best .
