I put out some fire ant killer then put the bag in the shed.
Yesterday I open the shed and the mice had eaten a hole in the sack and had the contents spread out in a pile.
Question is : Would something designed to kill ants also be harmful to mice or other animals ?
That just seems odd.

diatomaceous earth spread around fire ant hills, Non toxic. Use it to kill roaches, ants in the house . Just put a light dusting in the house . In carpets , throw rugs will kill fleas dead. It is so non toxic that it is used in some sports drinks to cleanse the body..

When I swept it up , it had the look of sawdust and dirt or sweeping powder .
What ever it is it worked on the ants.
Thanks Guys
