I am just trying to understand the maxxis game, Used to race on duro readings a now we don't as much. Anyone willing to shed light on it is much appreciated. I see all day start to end maxxis. Are guys just having several sets softened for practice, heat, feature? Or is duro really not what we chase, its bite we chase?

We still use duro, just not like we use to. Most of the time its for the "softer" tracks. For the harder bit up tracks its more about the amount of internal and age of tire. For example....2 tires punch 52 on duro, one is a fresh set, other is a month old set, both are same duro number but totally different tires on the track.

^ Almost exactly the recommendation I gave to a customer earlier this morning.
Duro is just one factor in the equation -- important, but less important than bite, cure time, air pressure, stagger, etc.
