How much pop up can you run with a Mod-1 and a .045 gasket? I know .010 on Limited, but no rules on this one.

My normal limit would be to have .030" clearance between the head and piston.

We have run as low as .015 between head and piston without issues.

If memory serves me correctly I believe the Kid Sprint rules for the WF allow you to machine the head and deck in such a way that you can wind up with .015" clearance between the head and the piston

Thanks fellas. I ended up just cutting piston down to for the .010 rule.

KSUSA rules state .035” piston pop up and head cut to .319 min.

Thanks Steve. .035" pop up with a .042 head gasket leaves you with .013" clearance.
