It was posted on the Vintage 4 cycle Karting FB page that Larry lost his battle with Covid--he was a cornerstone of the sport --condolences to the family.

I dont know a lot of details but Larry passed away on Tuesday . For more details you can go to the obituaries at speakschapel.com in Independence Mo For you guys that dont know he was the owner of FAIRFIELD MOTORSPORTS in Independence MO where he worked with his son Steven.
The karting industry lost a good man and one heck of a machinist . For those of us that knew him and was a friend he will be sadly missed but always remembered in our hearts . Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Been involved in Karting over 20 yrs. Never met a better ambassador for the sport. Always the first to help @ the track (sticker on the motor didn't matter). Ran his shop and lived his life with absolute integrity and honesty. Proud to have known him as a friend.
