Trying to figure out how to get the kart to stop hopping. Seems like the hop is in the right front entering the corner

63 cross 61 left 46.8 nose.. camber LF .25 RF 2.5.. caster 6-8.. tires maxxis 14ls 17rs. Tires punching around 48-50

Is it a Maxxis rule?

Way too much air and not nearly enough RF camber. Should be -3.5 or more depending on grip level and banking.

Air, get down around 10-12. If its open tire, you need to be on yellow Vega, not Maxxis

We are not allowed to run vega. It’s maxxis only. And there is a good amount of banking but it’s really tight corners

Yes the camber. Because dirt doesn't "grab" your right front tire as hard as pavement does. When pavement "grabs" the right front tire, it pulls the outside contact patch of the tire inward..so that's why you need a larger angle so that when you're in the turn the contact patch of the tire is as full and complete as you can get it.

What you've been experiencing is the tire is too flat when you're moving straight and then when you get in the turn it pulls the outside side wall in too much and you end up losing the contact patch of the inside of the tire and your tire hops to relieve the overload that it is experiencing.

Also maxxis is pretty soft for asphalt. Depending on the temps I'd try to go for a sanded and aged set of tires. Something that punches 55 or slightly over.

How much stagger have you been using and what's the size of the track?
