I have a open clone I am building and I’m trying to find a certain part, I’ve seen guys run from what I am guessing is called a pressure release or compression release tank they run on the front of a motor, is that basically just a oversized catch can or does it have a specific name and does anyone know where I can get one?

Has nothing to do with compression, its to catch excess oil spit out by the motor when turned hard. They all spit out a small amount via vapor/mist when running high rpm. The more your motor is worn the more it will lose due to excess blow-by.
