Two items:
1). The new carb tool that inspects the position of the e-tube in the Venturi is catching on some of the tubes not allowing the tool to slide over the tube. The tool was designed for tubes that have been found at the minimum size allowed (.154 ). The average size of the tube is (.157 ). Some of the carbs we are finding ( info from builders ) have the hole that the e-tube goes into are not perfectly aligned from China thus setting the tube on a slight angle. This slight angle is not allowing the tool to slide over as it was designed. If the jet is loosened it will allow the tube to move enough left or right and the tool will pass that part of the tech. The other remedy is to cut a tube down to the minimum (.154 ) And check the carb with that tube. If that tube doesn’t allow the tool to pass over the carb is considered ( out of spec ). To cut a tube down to ( .154 ) put it in a drill and shave with a file or sand paper checking frequently as to not take to much off.
2). The Walker air filter with the flat side is legal as long as the flat side is facing down to the tire or to the rear.

Some of the new carbs are coming over with the screw that holds the butterfly out of spec. Make sure your builder is inspecting it

The screens in the weenie pipe muffler have been found to be altered. AKRA has been in touch with RLV and they have assured us of no changes on their end. AKRA has approved the tech tool for inspecting the screens. Tool can be purchased at rix tech tools/Stout racing.
