PVL coil timing question?

Do the PVL coils on the Animals have any kind of a timing curve designed into them or are they a fixed timing? I'm interested in the 12,000 rpm version if that makes any difference. Thanks.

Unlike many simple small engine ignition systems the PVL ignition will stay the same as the rpms go up. If the timing is set at 30 degrees it will stay at 30 degrees as the RPMs go up. However, it does not advance.
In many other systems the ignition timing will retard as the RPMs go up

Agreed.
Bobby is a great guy and a great source of information.
He used to work at Briggs and was involved in most of the innovation and testing of the improvements in the Animal, LO 206 and World Formula engines.
I am very fortunate to know him personally.
