Question about flywheel slipping

Personally i would try what sundog suggested . Mount and torque the flywheel .
Timing not relavent .
Then see how easy it is too pull it off the taper .
Or blue it and check that first .
Then test how it pulls off .
Plenty of piston too head clearance ?

I know you said new hub . A dye penatrant test or mag may be in order .
Or any possibility the snout is stretching ?

Thin coat of blue loctite on the shaft.

How hard is it to pop back off after this?

Light compound starting on the small end of the taper . Out of 20 builds it’s only happening on 2-3 motors .
