This is a good example of "feathering."
A harder compound would work better. You should see some wear (looks like graining) when a tire is working, but it should not be feathering back like pictured.

Next race maybe wet and/or hammer down tacky. Always have to watch and make adjustments throughout the evening. Rarely will you be on a d1010-4 thank you. I’ll put a harder compound on for the next race and see what I got. Thanks again!
