Rear axle

I have a 2011 Spector fugitive chassis and on the left rear there are wedges. I was wondering what the are for. Right rear moves axle forward and backwards. Left rear moves up and down
 
Thanks for the info. My son runs super heavy and weights 450 coming across scales. I was trying to get him off the ground a little more so we can run lower tire pressures. Now we run between 7 and 9. Tried running lower but seat drags ground.
