Rear Hubs

I was wondering where is a good starting point at setting my rear hubs?

Assuming dirt oval racing, with wheels on RR 1/4" from inside of wheel to cassette hanger,
LR 3/4 " off, set RTW before scaling.

that’s it... my LR is closer to 1” but that’s a good starting point

I should have added If it's 2010 ish and newer I'd do 3/4" LR, If older I'd do 1" LR.

It's a 2013 Charger Magnum. I'm just looking for a starting point so I can do poor man scaling.

So this is going to sound dumb. But you mean from the back of the hub correct?

No put wheel and tire on hub, measure from backside of wheel rim ( bead ) to cassette hanger.

Some say put the wheels as close as you can to the frame both sides. For me it doesnt work. But it was a starting point for me. With the wheels being close to the frame it made me tight on exit of the curve.

It will on any kart If you go to close, you don't want to start to close and chase a handling issue, start with closer AVG and tweak from there, as big difference from tweaking for speed than chasing a handling issue.

Some kart manufactures suggest aligning your right sides straight inline with each other , as straight inline as possible . On certain karts this cannot be done . Most manufacturers have websites , that include basic setups .
