It would be all in the right rear .what it is is the right wheel is more forward or backward look up rear steer in a race car you will understand it more it would be like taking the axle and angling it forward or backward or its at zeroAs in different wheel base left to right?
its not rear steer, lead and lag is a front end only term, the adjustment you are talking about changes the offset in the kart and the path the rear tires take to the fronts, and how the rr is loadedIt would be all in the right rear .what it is is the right wheel is more forward or backward look up rear steer in a race car you will understand it more it would be like taking the axle and angling it forward or backward or its at zero
So do people put lead in kartsits not rear steer, lead and lag is a front end only term, the adjustment you are talking about changes the offset in the kart and the path the rear tires take to the fronts, and how the rr is loaded
Sundog, all oval karts have a longer wheelbase on the right than the left
yes if the conditions are warranted, lead will exit better, but could be tight entry to apex, lag will help with entry but could produce a push apex to exit.So do people put lead in karts
If the right side of the kart has a wheel base greater than the left side, the kart has "lead"It would be all in the right rear .what it is is the right wheel is more forward or backward look up rear steer in a race car you will understand it more it would be like taking the axle and angling it forward or backward or its at zero
This adjustment should have little effect on chain alignment.I was wondering if anyone puts rear steer in thier kart ours is a 2011 slack axiom.if you do how you do it so chain wont come off?
Big cars we always did the right side. We had motor setback rules and they measured on the right sideWhich is the better side to move? Left or right?
Left could've an advantage on a small indoor dirt or even a small bull ring .
Need a smaller driver though . The tires get close too the seat for the big guys .
