First thanks to Miranda and Flatrun for having us and giving us a great track to run on as always! Also thanks to everyone that came out to race with us.

Considering all the rain we have had this season, the track was in really good shape. It was also nice to finally get the first point race in for the 2015 season (sad it wasn't until mid July LOL). We only had six Rebels for this one, which seems to be the normal for our point openers over the years, we always go upward on kart counts after the opener, so we seem to be on schedule.

1st heat had the defending Series Champion #77 Denny Furlow on the pole, with the XXX of Brandon Oldhams off pole, second row 2013 Champion #21 Mike Clark inside with 707 of Paul Deasy outside, then the #10 of Zach Clark inside row three, and the 11J of Jim Mulhal outside. The 710 of Tara Lawrence was unable to make the trip as she had a death in the family and a funeral on race day to attend. the #45 of Keith Clark was at the race but was unable to have his machine ready for the night also. Both the 710 and 45 said they will be ready for the next one. First heat action was fast as usual and went with out any problems. Furlow was able to jump to the lead and go on for the win showing why he was the 2014 Champion. Final finish as follows:
1st) #77 Denny Furlow
2nd) #XXX Brandon Oldhams
3rd) #707 Paul Deasy
4th) #21 Mike Clark
5th) #10 Zach Clark
6th) #11J Jim Mulhal

Second heat inverted from line up of first heat, and went about like the first heat, with good close fast action the entire way. Finish:
1st) #XXX Brandon Oldams
2nd) #77 Denny Furlow
3rd) #21 Mike Clark
4th) #707 Paul Deasy
5th) #10 Zach Clark
6th) #11J Jim Mulhal

Come feature time, saw some real good close clean racing as always. It is great when you have a very close and competitive group of drivers and machines, as you can never tell who will come away with the win. I believe we only had two cautions, one for a spin, and one for someone losing something from their kart and falling on the track. The second restart was the one hick up of the race, where there was some confusion on the restart, and probably did effect the outcome. After discussing it with all the drivers afterwards, everyone was ok with it, and realized these sort of things happen on occasion.

Denny Furlow was the one to beat, but on the final restart after the last caution, the lights were out indicating the green was coming, but the field never got the indication from the flagman one lap to the green. So when the green came Denny missed it expecting one more caution lap and did not go, as the rest of the field took off, Denny dropped to the rear, but made a nice recovery for a third place finish. Final finsh of the feature:

1st) #XXX Brandon Oldhams
2nd) #707 Paul Deasy
3rd) #77 Denny Furlow
4th) #21 Mike Clark
5th) #10 Zach Clark
6th) #11J Jim Mulhal (DNF Engine).

Again thanks to Flatrun Speedway and all the Drivers for another awesome show!
