7/13/19 Results
It was probably the best weather wise night we've had all season. We had 61 karts in the pits with 19 registered for our "Who's the Biggest Fry Clone Race!" I would like to thank Everyone who came to race with us last Saturday!
The clones were the featured class of the night running twin heats - so that made for 4 exciting heat races. Coming out on top of the first 2 heads up heats were the 13 of Jordin Mitchell and the 29 of Ryan Neese. We then took the starting line up for the heats and did a 100% invert to line up the 2nd set of heats. Coming out on top in round 2 was the 93M of Mickey Morocco and the 93 of Allan Knupp. This set the feature field with Morocco and Mitchell being the pole sitters for the start of the 20 lap feature.
Jumping out to an early lead was the 13 of Mitchell but the other 18 karts were right behind him. On lap 4 the 93 of Morocco made a clean pass to take the lead. Neese on lap six started working his way to the lead by taking 2nd spot from Mitchell and then on lap 7 taking the lead from Morocco. From that point Ryan Neese never looked back and was able to hold on for the victory. The feature was slowed by 5 cautions but only losing a hand full of karts. The top 3 passed tech with flying colors and Neese was handed a check for $250.00. Congratulations to Rayn and his dad, it's always a pleasure to have them at Red Rock.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention "Bob" our special guest in the tower for the night. Bob is Dan Bakers "shop cat" who stowed away in his kart trailer to visit us at Red Rock!
