Does anyone know for sure if the tach lead on a mychron can be replaced with a simple copper wire? My tach is goofy a lot of times and I gotta start somewhere trying to fix it.
ok cool, I have some 18 gauge I believe but I'm not sure if it's solid copper or copper coated. I'm also not sure if it would even matter, but I will try it. thanks
I used 18 gauge automotive wire for our Mychron 5 on a Tony Kart ... the original wire that came with the unit was too short for my liking.The tach works just fine with the new wire and it's nicely ty-rapped to the frame.
