Rock island grand prix

We are excited that track repairs have begun in preparation for the 20th anniversary of the Rock Island Grand Prix, the world's largest karting street race. Significant work has been done to grind down pavement at Turn 4 (right hander) and Turn 5 in preparation for repaving. City is making up to a dozen smaller repairs to the street course as well. We thank them for their continued support.

Its labor day weekend Mike. I plan to be there again this year in a vintage dual rear McCulloch engines kart.

If like last year, Saturday will be practice, time trials, and vintage race. Sunday will be racing.

There really hasn't been a lot of questions about this year's race which is good. There are also a lot of new names on the registration list which is certainly good for the sport! If you plan to race LO206 and take advantage of the support form Briggs & Stratton, please don't wait. It is limited to the first 30 entries.
