Hello everyone. I see Rockport Indiana is running starting aug 8 th. I was hoping for some help on gears. I’ll be running super stock just wondering what a good starting point is. Also any help with a good starting point for tire pressure. Been away for years any help is appreciated thanks in advance

Claim its a tenth mile . With 11.1 as a fast time its likely close .
RP may have a better suggestion .
Blue plate i say 15 / 63. Super stock 14 ,63 .
My guess .

I don't know that it's better for sure but in general for a 1/10 mile good chance your 1 driver to big for both classes, 14 - 58 to start Jr 3 ( especially since new driver ) and 13 - 62 for super stock.

When I was running there a couple years ago I was always on an 11 or 12 driver. Usually around a 64 rear sprocket I believe. I was running super heavy weight normally around 400 or so. This was with my clone. Ran that gear combination for the few years I ran there.

Last week with a blue plate clone we were turning 6400 with a 13/66. Felt we may have been better with a 13/67. We were lacking on starts and off the corners. May have been driver though.

It take more gear than you'd think because you certainly don't flatfoot it thru the corners. On my open animal I had a 12 driver and wished I had run an 11.
