rod dipper

i recently pulled some flathead parts out of the back corner of my garage and found enough parts to put a motor together, since ive been running clones for the last 5 years ive forgotten a few things like torque specs and which way does the rod dipper point on a raptor 3 rod. can anyone help?
 
points to rear. double check , as I broke 1 thinking it was right . buttoned it up , clank, snap , dang.
