Rod?

I am having to tear my motor apart to replace leaking oil seals. My question is , is the performance cast rod better than the stocker in it ? And does anyone know the torque specs on rod cap I have to pull my crank so was wondering if the performance rod is better

personally....if it was a billet rod, i'd just change out the bearings.....on the stock side, if i was to pull the crank to replace the seals, i'd go ahead and swap out the rod if your allowed...couldn't hurt....

a check of some of the sites and notes i have show that the stock rod should be torqued to 9/10 foot pounds or 108/120 inch pounds...

Agree with mikey on this, anytime you pull the sidecover and replace something in the engine, its good common sense to replace a rod that cost less than $10, just for added insurance. I have seen the performance cast rod in person, it does not seem to be any better quality than the stock rod in my opinion.
