I ran that setup for multiple seasons with zero issues. I used a BMI jackshaft with a 560 belt. Never had to change the belt.

Good to see you on here Zac. Did you ever draw any conclusions from the mega squirt setup? Never ran wankels but was intrigued by the idea as a fellow tinker’r!
 
We ran the EFI setup for a full season and it was great. No tuning required once it is dialed in. Only issue we ever had with it was a lithium battery giving out midway through a race.
