Rusty Wallace returning the 2 car

Just read where Rusty Wallace will be testing the 2 car in Daytona tomorrow because its the 25th anniversary for Rusty's Championship!

How cools that?

Not just that but Mark Martin will be testing for Stewart and Bill Elliott will be testing for JR in the Nationwide series. All the old guys are comin back to test

Interesting phenomenon: Pre-season testing at Daytona is now a sponsor event. Once again it's getting some live TV time. There are some small teams that have a "Daytona test sponsor". Elliott's deal is partly because he'll get to test with his son. Chase is driving full-time for JR Motorsports with NAPA sponsorship. Martin's deal is just because Tony is still recovering (and hates to test at plate tracks). Notice Rusty's #2 will have a retro paint scheme for the test and the Daytona 500. The days of everyone running gray primer for public tests are just about over. Most will run sponsor paint schemes or at least hood decals. Might as well line them up and have a race!

Will Rusty be able to get the car changed, so it can be driven the way he likes to drive a car?

Or will he have to learn to drive the car, the way it's been designed to be driven?

Martin's deal is just because Tony is still recovering (and hates to test at plate tracks). At Fort Wayne Tony was limping. I was watching them work on the 24 car and Tony happened to be sitting behind his car in the pits. Some friends came by and he pulled up his pant leg to show his friends his lower leg. It didn't look good all scared up, with skin lumped and still very much red from the injury or repair. I had a camera and could have easily taken a picture of his injured leg, but out of courtesy I did not. No I didn't do it because the way I was brought up, you just don't do things like that because it's wrong.

Throw away the restrictor plates. Bill Elliott made up 2 laps under green flag. Some place, somewhere. Pretty impressive. Rusty Wallace, a legend also. Sorry, I don't remember EXACT names and places. NASCAR and NHRA, for the last 30 years, have compromised integrity and honesty. Played the ( World's greatest invention EVER. The SB Chevy thing. The chevee engineers DIDN'T even make an oil filter in 1955, Friggin wow. RETARDS ) OUTLAWED the Dodge Plymouth cars..

I don't want to hear any stupid azz comments from anyone.. NASCAR or NHRA, do you want comment on your 60's and 70's decisions? I hope you go bankrupt.. Playing favorites..

Woah, reading thats like trying to walk after riding Tower of Terror. You can walk, but your heads spinning.

Restrictor plates were MADE because of Ernie Elliott. The bowties had nothing for his horsepower on big tracks, so NASCAR had to level the playing field. I don't buy the safety reasoning for it, I believe it's strictly political.
