When using a belt sander to sand 33's, what grit should I start with and finish with.,and is water enough of a cooling agent to keep the tire from over heating.
I'm using a lathe so I can dial in the rpm.
Thanks

If the track is loose dirt or soft, you can start with 80g and follow with 120 then 180.
If the track is hard, I prefer to start with 120 and go upwards to 220 or even 400g to plateau finish.
I prefer Windex non-ammoniated window cleaner for coolant. I've tried all the dollar store brands and for whatever reason, the Windex brand works best.
