Seat height

Last weekend we got run over from behind during a feature race and broke our seat. Ordered one that’s one size bigger and need to place it.

The kart has been great. I’d like to put the seat back as close as possible to how we had it.

We were 8 3/4” off the rear axle. I was considering if we were to raise it up to 9” would we get even better weight transfer to the right side.

We are getting the new Nexgen 2.0. We had the Nexgen 1.0 before.

Bottom of seat 3/16 " up into bottom of frame rails, back of seat 9 1/4" off top of axle.

How will the kart react? More side bite on the RH side?

I'd think of it as a lever effect, your lengthening the lever so it will increase weight transfer yes but with less effort, with only 1/2 " it will be very slight difference.

I’m definitely going to have to talk to Phantom on this Nexgen 2.0.

At 9 1/4” the driver is not able to get under the wheel. The back of this seat is much taller than the intermediate Nexgen1.0 that we climbed out of.

Yes, more sidebite with the seat higher than it was mounted previously.
