Seat mounting

Just a general question

Do you heat and bend these mounting brackets to better align with the seat? Or do you just mount in and go? The previous owner just mounted it up. The two surfaces were not on similar planes.

If you have too , never used heat . Always with rubber grommets . Between seat and bracket .
Thats left side , should be further over .
You need correct mounting dimensions/ locations .
