When you heat a seat to make it bigger, will it expand enough to make a difference and will it stay to the new shape?

If it is fiberglass heat it and take two peices of wood for each side and expand a botle jack or screw jack from a trunk of a car and SLOWLY expand it leave it for a couple days then repeat i gained a inch of with on my seat that I did amd has stayed the same shape and size all year hope this helps it took me a week and half
